iTRAD provides you the service of translation legalization and that of translation of apostilled documents.
- Legalized translation
Legalized translation is a certified translation, to which the public notary’s office attaches an authentication (certification) of the translator’s signature on the basis of a submitted specimen signature. In practice, legalized translation represents the certification made by a notary public on the authenticity of the certified translator’s signature and the possession of a translation certification recognized by the Ministry of Justice.
Translations requiring legalization are documents such as: contracts of any kind, corporate documents, birth certificates, death certificates, marriage certificates or various certificates, transport documents, invoices, documents signed by notaries (power-of-attorney, statements etc.).
- Apostillation
The apostille is applied on the original document by the issuing body. The apostilled document is translated together with the apostille.
Steps to translate a document which contains an apostille:
- the client goes to the body that issued the document for the apostille to be applied there
- after the apostille has been applied to the original document, he/she comes to the translation office for the translation
- performing the translation with apostille
The apostille is a square stamp applied on official documents. This is a superlegalization of a document, which is necessary in order for it to be recognized in a signatory country to the Hague Convention. Any document on which the Apostille of the Hague Convention has been applied is automatically recognized for use without any other requirement in any of the other signatory countries.
